Anil Murthy: "The fans were 10/10 on an incredible night"
Speaking to VCF Media Radio after the final whistle at Mestalla, Valencia CF president Anil Murthy reflected on "an incredible night" in the Champions League against LOSC Lille.
"This was a great win on an incredible night. The team were phenomenal and we made a huge comeback in the second half that we all deserved; and we did it together between the team and the fans," said Murthy.
"We made the comeback together, and it was in credible. The fans support was 10/10, throughout the entire game. The players believed thanks to the fans. This team has shown our ability to fight and to win games. I awlays say that the team have great character."
The result puts Valencia CF on seven points in their Champions League group, but the competition will take a back seat from Wednesday as attention turns to LaLiga.
"We have a key game against Granada CF coming up, in which once again we need the support of the fans. This team wants to go far in LaLiga, the Champions League and in every competition," stated the VCF president.
"We have another final on Saturday ahead of the international break, and we are going to keep fighting. I believe in this team."
